RF3 Rifle Protection in an ESAPI Multi-Curve Profile
The CASTLE12 RF3 ESAPI Multi-Curve Ballistic Plate combines a silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic strike face with a polyethylene (PE) composite backing in a stand-alone armor configuration.
Its ESAPI-cut, multi-curve profile is shaped to provide a closer fit to the torso, helping improve plate stability and freedom of movement when used with a compatible plate carrier.
This product is sold as a pair and is designed for professional law enforcement, military and mission-specific applications requiring protection against high-level rifle threats.

RF3 and the Former NIJ Level IV Designation
Under NIJ Standard 0123.00, RF3 is the updated rifle protection designation corresponding to the former NIJ Level IV nomenclature.
A legacy Level IV rating does not automatically qualify a product as RF3. The applicable test standard, product configuration and official test report should always be identified.
